Gun-Britt Mårtensson is the Vice-Chair of the Swedish Co-operative Centre, board member International Cooperative Alliance (ICA) and Cecodhas, the European organisation for housing, former mayor and chair and president of HSB Riksförbund, Sweden’s largest organisation for co-op housing. Gun-Britt is the keynote speaker at the Living Co‑operatively Symposium in Sydney on 13 & 14 February. Gun-Britt will share her international experience and observations on co-operatives worldwide, with those at the dinner.

Lyn Barker, Deputy Director-General of the NSW Department of Commerce and Commissioner, Office of Fair Trading, has regulatory responsibility for co-operatives in New South Wales. With over 20 years working in the NSW public sector, Lyn has held senior executive roles with the Attorney-General's Department, the Department of Housing, and the NSW Public Service Board.

The Advantages for Your Co-operative of Global Connections

The seminar is a chance to discuss the benefits for individual Australian co-operatives of connecting to the wider co-operative world. Swedish co-operator Gun-Britt Mårtensson, Trent Bartlett, CEO of the Capricorn Society, Are Wakowako, Fijian Department of Co-operatives and Peter Gates, a former Chair of a large Australian credit union will give personal accounts of the advantages of linking into the world-wide co‑operative movement and the International Co-operative Alliance.
